At Free. In. Deed. we have three goals: Raising Awareness; Raising Money; and Prayer! Outlined below are all the resources you’ll need to pull off a Free. In. Deed. event with your youth group. I encourage you to do whatever you want with this event. I’m not trying to make more work for you! You can make this a 2 hour night meeting, or a two day “lock in” event. Do whatever works best for you, and hopefully what I gathered below will help it not feel like tons of work for you!

Goal #2: Raising Money

Here are ideas gathered from around the region for fundraising – be creative and do what you can!

  • Cook a meal for your church and charge a love offering
  • Do a bake sale at church or school
  • Get pledges for a fast the night of March 25th
  • Get pledges for a “walk” as a youth group
  • Flag football tournament – charge the teams an entry fee
  • Movie night – show Amazing Grace and take a love offering
  • Bowling Night – have the kids get pledges, and then rent out some lanes – also sell tickets to the bowling night
  • Car wash – and have a computer there showing Love 146 videos for people as they wait
  • Lock in – brings in more kids from community
  • Concert to raise money for ending modern day slavery


Goal #3: Pray!

  • My goal is very every youth group in the Eastern Region to pray from 9-9:30pm on Friday March 25th.
  • Prayer targets are listed in the discussion materials, and also on the powerpoint for your meeting (they are also below).

Prayer Targets:

  1. The children trapped in slavery right now!
  2. The children being targeted to be slaves right now! (Wisdom and TRUTH to be exposed so they will not be tricked!)
  3. The brothel owners to have an encounter with Jesus that would shut down the industry.
  4. The men and women around the globe that are paying to abuse these children.
  5. May they have an encounter with Jesus and be freed from their addictions and enslavement to sin.
  6. The police and NGO workers fighting to save the victims!
  7. The leaders of the safehomes that are helping the victims heal.
