Teen Leaders
14-17 year olds who show leadership potential, and can commit to serving for at least 1 year at their youth group

Current Youth Pastors/Adult Leaders
If you are willing to give up a week and serve as an adult at the Project, the region will cover your costs and you can come for free! (most likely only one per church)

THE VISION
When Paul met Timothy, he was a very young man. Immediately Paul saw his potential, and spent years investing in Timothy’s gifts, training him as a leader, and releasing him into meaningful ministry. Project Timothy’s goal is to inspire, motivate, and train a group of future young leaders in the East Region of the Vineyard. Do you feel called to be a teen leader? A youth worker? A youth pastor? We dare you to take one week and radically invest in your future as a leader. Through teaching, worship, outreach, and lots of personal ministry, we believe that God will begin to shape your vision and refine your gifts so that you can live your destiny in God to the fullest.

THE DEAL
Each day we’ll have different speakers from around the region offering leadership and ministry training. We will also provide opportunities for personal reflection and time with God on our 21 acres of beautiful country land. Each night we’ll have an amazing worship service with different worship bands, a teaching, and extended time for personal prophetic and prayer ministry. We will also be doing several outreaches into the community to minister to the poor and hurting nearby. Lastly, we’ll have lots of fun! There will be an obstacle course, hiking, swimming, frisbee, soccer and lots of other great things to do.

THE DETAILS
Personality and Gift Testing
Each person will receive personality and gift testing, to be administered by a professional counselor on staff at VCF at the Barn. An entire day will be devoted to learning about your gifts, receiving spiritual gift inventory advice, as well the potential for career counseling.

Topics to be covered:

  • Leadership Essentials
  • The Character of a Leader
  • How to give a teaching
  • Leading a small group
  • How to lead an outreach
  • Passion for Jesus
  • Gifts of the Spirit
  • Hearing God’s Voice
  • Intercession, Power Healing and more!

RETURNING STUDENTS (2ND OR 3RD YEAR)
Hey all you PT alumni! If you are considering coming back for a second or third year, we are so excited about that! I have heard so many testimonies from around the region of how God has been using you all in great ways. I think it is a great and noble thing for you to desire to return and allow God to work more in your life, and we would love to see you again! Read below for all the details, and contact me (Christian) if you have any questions!

Qualifications for Returning Students
Project Timothy is going to be running a track for all “returning students” this year (2011). This means we will combine those who are coming for their second time with those who are coming for their third time. This school is open to all who have attended before, but just because you’ve attended before, does not mean you will be admitted. Qualifications for being accepted as a returning student will be more stringent than last year. Here are some that we will be looking at:

  • have you continued as a leader and fulfilled your commitment
  • do you plan on continuing to lead
  • has your character over the past year remained consistent with that of a leader
  • do you feel called to return, rather than just desiring to see your friends?

So please pray about this, and then send in your application – we look forward to seeing you again!

Curriculum for Returning Students
We have not designed the full curriculum yet, but it will be different than last year’s “Phase 2.” This will be a whole new track, including some more in depth courses, and some more hands on outreach. I think its going to be really great—we have some amazing adult leaders coming to staff this year, so you don’t want to miss it! I’m also trying to link up with some ministries around the region that you may be able to travel to and gain a broader understanding of ministry.
